Each NCL, Inc. Chapter promotes social awareness by considering the local community’s needs and selecting appropriate non-profit organizations to serve. American Heart Association
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide, and stroke ranks second globally. Even when those conditions don’t result in death, they cause disability and diminish quality of life. We want to see a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. https://www.heart.org/en/affiliates/texas/austin
Austin Pets Alive!
APA! is dedicated to stopping the killing of Austin’s adoptable cats and dogs by energizing the public and maintaining comprehensive, innovative, life-saving programs designed to save the animals most likely to be euthanized in shelters.
NCL helps Caritas serve people each year whose opportunities have been diminished by poverty and homelessness, many of whom are veterans, children, women and refugees. Caritas works alongside each one to increase stability and self-sufficiency. NCL works in the Caritas of Austin Community Kitchen as well as special events.
Mobile Loaves & Fishes – Cowboy Brunch and Food Truck Prep
Mission: To provide food clothing and promote dignity to our homeless brothers and sisters in need and the vision is to empower communities and individuals into a lifetime of service with the poor. www.mlf.org
Bee Cave Arts Foundation (THE HIVE)
The Hive opened in the Hill Country Galleria on October 19, 2018 with 4,500 sq. ft. of exhibition and classroom space with the goal of promoting the arts, enriching the quality of life in our community, and enhancing the experience of all people that live and visit our community.
Friends of the Park – Lakeway
Lakeway’s Friends of the Park helps our young ladies learn how to take care of our parks and trails while being environmentally aware.
Partners in Hope – Lake Travis
Partners in Hope mobilizes the people and resources of the Lake Travis community to serve one family in need at a time, providing hope for a meaningful life on a firm foundation. NCL helps to improve the physical needs of their dwelling while Partners in Hop also connects them with the Faith community and needed resources: counseling, health, employment, social, etc.
Lake Travis Crisis Ministries
LT Crisis Ministries meets short-term needs by giving immediate help of food and financial assistance to those in a crisis situation.
Lake Travis Thrift Store
Lake Travis Thrift Store was started in 1991 and is owned by the Ladies of Charity of Lake Travis. They donate to seven different local charities each month.
Brookdale is a retirement community where mothers/daughters get to spend time playing bingo or painting projects with residents. The retirement residents are happy to have our young ladies and mothers there to have conversations, listen to stories and play bingo.
TreeFolks’ mission is to grow the urban forest of Central Texas through tree planting, education and community partnerships. Partnering with TreeFolks offers a wonderful opportunity for NCL members to promote urban forestry practices to public, private, and government audiences. NCL LT makes a huge impact on the community by helping plant native trees while learning the importance of forest stewardship and how tree planting helps Austin’s environment and its citizens thrive.
Colin’s Hope raises water safety awareness to prevent children from drowning. Colin’s Hope envisions a world where children do not drown.
The mission of cc4c.org brings hope, help and inspiration to families of children suffering from rare or undiagnosed medical conditions and use our resources to reduce time to diagnosis.
Every year, NCL Patronesses and Ticktockers volunteer approximately one million hands-on hours of annual service. The members of the NCL Lake Travis chapter are proud to make a difference in our local community.
